The relationship between Landlords and Tenants is often complicated and, in the residential sector, is heavily regulated. 

In the residential sector, we can prepare and advise on residential tenancy agreements.  From a landlord’s point of view, good quality advice at the outset will help to avoid major problems in the future.  From a tenant’s point of view, timely advice can help to avoid or resolve problems.  Where difficulties or a dispute have arisen, we advise and represent both Landlords and Tenants.  Please note that we do not hold a Public Funding franchise (Legal Aid) and we are unable to represent tenants who require publicly funded representation or advice. 

We also deal with collective leasehold enfranchisement and grant of extended long leases under the Leasehold Reform Housing and Urban Development Act 1993.  Our principal Mr Duncan Halliday deals with all non contentious landlord and tenant matters, and our Senior Solicitor Mr Hutson deals with landlord and tenant disputes and claims.
